Owing to a certain incident in her past, Reiko Kuki knows the value of money better than anyone. Thrifty with her spending, this poor, “around-thirty company woman meets Keita Saruwatari, the moronic president’s son and profligate spendthrift with no memory at all of how he spends his dough. When these two polar opposites spend a summer learning about money management with a bunch of other financially-quirky people, personalities and values clash to produce some unexpected comedy and romance.

主人公九鬼玲子因為過去的某些原因，比誰都更看重金錢。這個把錢一個當作兩個來用的三十歲左右“清貧女”，在公司裡遇到了社長的兒子,一个名叫猿渡慶太的傻乎乎的年輕男人。他用起錢來毫不猶豫，是個完全不知道自己到底用了多少錢的“浪費男”。就是這樣金錢觀處於兩個極端的二人，在這個夏日裡經歷了一場關於金錢的修行。這是一部關於各色擁有不同金錢觀的男女，和自己的價值觀完全不同的人之間發生的一場令人無法預測的多彩愛情喜劇！

The story starts in a historical musical club at a girls’ high school which in on the verge of breaking up. Because of its harsh training for musicals instructed by senior members, newcomers have left one after the other. Ikeko, a girl who loves musicals, is in charge to be captain this year, but she is the last one remaining in the club. If she cannot invite at least 5 members to her club, the club will be no more.
Dreaming to co-star with a famous musical star and to win the Tony Award, Ikeko somehow gathers 5 other members who are all quite unique. The girls, who are bit silly but serious about what they want to do, spend their high school days sometimes behaving silly and sometimes growing into adults. They put their hands together aiming for the big stage in the end.
They pay homage to masterpieces of musical, for example “A Chorus Line”, “CATS”, “ West side story”, “Elisabeth”, “The Phantom of the Opera” and so on.
